This Privacy Policy explains how The Skin Project By Doctors Pty Ltd (ABN 15 622 441 098), trading as Skin Project Clinics (“we”, “us”, “our”), collects, uses, holds, discloses and protects your personal information. It applies to this website (skinprojectclinics.com.au) and to enquiries and bookings you make with our clinic.

We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Because we are a medical practice, health information you provide is also handled in accordance with the Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002 (NSW).

1. The personal information we collect

We collect the personal information you choose to give us — most commonly through the enquiry and consultation-booking forms on this website, by phone, by email, or in person at the clinic. This typically includes:

Some of the information you provide when enquiring about a treatment may be health information, which is sensitive information under the Privacy Act. We collect it only where you choose to provide it, and only to respond to your enquiry and to provide the care you ask us about. Please do not include more health detail than is necessary in a website form — sensitive clinical information should be shared during your consultation rather than through an online form.

We collect personal information directly from you: when you complete a form on this website, call or email us, or attend the clinic. Where it is reasonable and practicable, we collect personal information directly from the individual concerned. If a third party provides us with your details (for example, a referral), we take reasonable steps to ensure you are made aware of this Policy.

4. Enquiry and lead handling

Enquiries submitted through this website are received and managed with the help of our marketing and technology provider, CalnetCorp Web Services, which operates a secure dashboard we use to record and follow up enquiries and to track whether an enquiry leads to a booking. CalnetCorp handles this information on our behalf, under contract, and only for the purposes described in this Policy. It is not permitted to use your information for its own purposes.

5. Cookies and analytics

This website uses cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion tracking, to understand how visitors use the site and to measure the performance of our advertising. These tools may collect online identifiers such as your IP address, device and browser information, and the pages you view. This information is generally used in aggregate and is not used to identify you personally by us.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings (though some parts of the site may not work as intended), and you can manage Google’s use of advertising data via Google Ads Settings and opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s opt-out browser add-on.

7. Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers — including analytics and advertising providers such as Google — store and process data on servers located outside Australia, including in the United States. Where we disclose information to an overseas recipient, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

8. How we store and protect your information

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure — including access controls, secured systems and confidentiality obligations on our staff and providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard the information we hold.

9. How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this Policy, or for as long as we are required to keep it by law. Clinical and health records are retained for the minimum periods required of medical practitioners under applicable law. Enquiry and marketing records that we no longer need are deleted or de-identified.

11. Accessing and correcting your information
